The Phaseolus Crochet Fingerless Gloves Pattern pairs beautifully with the matching hat and cowl, but they also manage to shine on their own. Available in three different sizes and two different lengths, you can customize these gloves to suit your needs, as well as your wardrobe.
Crochet Fingerless Gloves Pattern – Phaseolus
Finished Sizes:
Instructions given to fit size Small; changes for Medium & Large are in ()

Finished Circumference: 7” (8”, 9”)
Finished Length: 6” or 9”
Materials:
I used Loops & Threads Facets, which is 100% Acrylic, #4 Worsted weight yarn.
Any yarn of similar weight would work.
Approximately 120 (130, 140) yds.

16 hdc x 10 rows = 4” H x 4” W
Notes:
Ch1 at the beginning of a row is never considered a stitch.
Ch1 between sts is always considered a stitch.
Ch3 at the beginning of a row is always considered a Dc.
A Bean Stitch counts as 2 stitches.
Crochet Fingerless Gloves Pattern – Phaseolus
Instructions
These gloves are made from the fingers down to the wrist. We will be working in the round, except when we are making the thumb hole. We will join to the first stitch and turn at the end of each round.
Make 2
Body
With 5mm Hook (or the hook used to obtain gauge)
Ch 28 (32, 36). Ss to 1st ch.
- (RS) Ch1. Hdc in 1st ch and each ch around. Ss (or alt jn) to join to 1st st. Turn. – 28 (32, 36) st
- (WS) Working in 3rd lo: Ch3. Dc in next st and each st around. Ss to join to 1st st. Turn. – 28 (32, 36) st
- Ch1, hdc in 1st st. *Ch1, sk1 st, hdc in next st.** Repeat from * to ** until 1 st left. Ch1, ss to join to 1st st. Turn. – 28 (32, 36) st
- Ch1, sk 1st st. *Sc in next ch1 sp. Ch1, sk1 st, bn in next ch1 sp. Sk1 st.** Repeat from * to ** around. Ss to join to 1st st. Turn. – 28 (32, 36) st
- Ch1, sk 1st st. Hdc in next ch1 sp. *Ch1, sk1 st, hdc in next ch1 sp.** Repeat from * to ** until 1 st left. Ch1, sk last st, ss to join to 1st st. Turn. – 28 (32, 36) st
- Ch3. Dc in next 25 (29, 33) st/ch sp. Leave remaining st & ch sp unworked. Turn. – 26 (30, 34) st
- Ch1. Hdc in 1st st and each across. Turn. – 26 (30, 34) st
- Ch1, hdc in 1st st. Hdc in 3rd lo in next st and each st until 1 left. Hdc in top loops of last st. Ch2. Ss to join to 1st st. Turn. – 28 (32, 36) st
- Ch3 (see Figure 1). Working behind st just made, dc in previous st (see Figure 2). Sk1 ch, dc in next ch (see Figure 3). Working behind st just made, dc in skipped ch (see Figure 4). *Sk1 st, dc in next st. Working behind st just made, dc in skipped st.** Repeat from * to ** around. Ss to join to 1st st (see Figure 5). Turn. – 28 (32, 36) st

If you’re making the 6” gloves, skip rounds 12-17, work round 18 and carry on to the cuff. If you’re making the 9” gloves, work the rest of the rounds as normal.

- Ch1, hdc in 1st st. *Ch1, sk1 st, hdc in next st.** Repeat from * to ** until 1 st left. Ch1, ss to join to 1st st. Turn. – 28 (32, 36) st
- Ch1, sk 1st st. *Sc in next ch1 sp. Ch1, sk1 st, bn in next ch1 sp. Sk1 st.** Repeat from * to ** around. Ss to join to 1st st. Turn. – 28 (32, 36) st

Crochet Fingerless Gloves Pattern – Phaseolus
Cuff
To make the cuff, we will be working short rows off of the last round worked on the body of the glove. Turn your work so that the right side is facing you.
- Ch8 (see Figure 6). Sc in 2nd ch from hook and each ch across (see Figure 7). Ss into same st you chained from on glove body. Ss into next unworked st (see Figure 8). Turn. – 7 st
- Sk2 ss. Sc in BLO of 1st st 6 sts. Sc in both loops of last st (see Figure 9). Turn. – 7 st
- Ch1. Sc in 1st st. Sc in BLO of next 6 sts (see Figure 10). Ss into next 2 unworked sts on glove body (see Figure 11). Turn. – 7 st

Repeat rows 2 & 3 all the way around the glove body. You will end with a row 2 repeat. Turn your work so the wrong side is facing you. Ss the ends of the cuff closed , working in the bottom bar of the 1st row and the BLO of the last row.
Weave in all your ends, and you’re done!
